Friday Five

kate spade maise // home alone dvd // blanket scarf

Happy Friday everyone! It is officially semester break for me and I couldn't be more excited for some much needed relaxation. Above are a few things I was loving this week. If you read my Birthday post then you probably remember that my mom got me a kate spade maise! To say that I'm obsessed with it would be a bit of an understatement. It has such a classic and chic look to it, goes with just about everything, and is WAY bigger than it looks! I was so shocked at how much room it really has, you couldn't by looking at it! It is definitely becoming one of my favorite pieces.

Home Alone is hands down my favorite Christmas movie. And I'm not the least bit ashamed to say I've watched it at least five times since Thanksgiving (if not more) and who knows how many more times I'll watch it by the time Christmas rolls around (which reminds me, it's only two weeks away!! It's getting scary how quickly time has been moving lately, is it just me?).

A few weeks ago I finally caved in and got myself the ever-so-popular plaid blanket scarf. And it does not disappoint, it definitely a fall/winter staple piece that everyone should be getting their hands on! If you're a Bravo fan, you definitely need to pick up Andy Cohen's new book The Andy Cohen Diaries. It's hilarious, and if you're a Real Housewives junkie like I am, you will love all of the little behind the scenes tid-bit's. And lastly, if you weren't aware by now, Lilly Pulitzer newly sells candles! I planned on buying one for my mom (aka me) for Christmas but after finding them in my local Dillards and seeing how adorable they are and how good they sell, I couldn't wait!

What were some things you have been loving this week?

Gift Guide Under $100

Can you believe that we are already halfway through November?! Now usually, I'm one to complain about how quickly the months have been going by, but I am not mad it about this time in the slightest. I am more than ready for December to get here! December is hands-down my favorite month as there's so much to look forward to. With that being said, the Gift Giving season is right around the corner. Trying to find the perfect gift can be quite a headache. I put together a little gift guide below (all under $100 so you don't break your wallet) for your mom, aunt, best friend, etc! Keep an eye out for a Gift Guide for the boyfriends soon!

Friday Five

TGIF! I've had an extremely stressful week, so to say that I'm excited I get a few days to relax, would be a complete understatement. Saturday I'm going to a friend's candle party with my mom, not even ashamed to say I've been looking forward to this for months! I'm a sucker for a good smelling candle.

Friday Five

My mom is super anti-technology, she's completely fine with rocking an old school flip-phone, so a complete whim she offered to give me her upgrade. Naturally of course, I jumped right on that and got myself a brand spankin' new iPhone 6! Plus I got it for only $90 with my trade-in. Such a steal! It's safe to say I'm obsessed. (Although, I jumped out of my comfort zone and got in black. It's definitely an adjustment considering I've always loved the look of white better.)

I finally started the final season of Gossip Girl today. So many feels. It's pretty sad it took me as long as it has to finally jump on the bandwagon, but I am so glad I finally did. I don't know what I'm going to do when I finish it. (Probably start it all over again.) I've been getting into the Halloween spirit by watching scary movies, on my Gossip Girl breaks and with all of the lights on of course.

I stepped foot into Old Navy a few weeks ago for the first time in years. Sad, I know. I was amazed at similar their styles were to J.Crew! You can bet I'll be returning ASAP.

I snatched up a $398 kate spade handbag for $170 the other week from TJ Maxx. I about died when I found it! Seriously, if you haven't checked out your local TJ Maxx, go do so this weekend. You never may what hidden treasures you may find!

What are your plans for the weekend?

Weekend Wishlist

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I don't know about you, but I am not looking forward to another Monday. I had a long boring weekend of studying for the LSAT, I am so ready to take this test and get it over with; December cannot come soon enough! It sucks dedicating so much time to a test, but I know it'll pay off in the long run! Here a few things I have had my eye on lately:

Weekend Wishlist

1) Steve Madden Troopa Boots: I got these in black last year for Christmas and I absolutely love them! The brown pair however look much more versatile, and could even pass as a short pair of riding boots!

2) kate spade candle: I've been on this kick lately for decor in my room. I'm definitely a sucker for candles, so when you put that together with kate spade + polka dots, you can bet that I need it.

3) Old Navy Pixie Pants: I've been on the hunt for a cute pair of polka dot jeans. So naturally when I saw that Old Navy had polka dot Pixie Pants for only $25, I was all over it. I will definitely be picking up a pair soon enough.

4) Rebecca Minkoff M.A.B: This bag has been on my wishlist for far too long now. Every time I plan on snatching it up, I always end up breaking down and buying something else before I can get around to it. It hurts my heart to say this and I can't believe I am, but I think I need to cool it on my purse splurging. Hopefully I'll finally get around to buying it with Christmas money!

5) Acrylic Monogrammed Necklace: I have a confession to make.... I don't own a monogrammed necklace. I was going to buy one with my birthday money last year, but I just couldn't justify $100. I recently saw on Personalized From Me To You that they make acrylic ones for just $30! I don't need an expensive sterling silver one, so this acrylic is perfect for me (and my bank account).

6) J.Crew Camp Socks: These socks are just too perfect to pair with my L.L Bean Boots, they're cute plus they look super comfy and warm for those cold fall/winter days. For almost $20 for a single pair though, they're definitely going to have a splurge buy!

HUGE Haul!

Hello my loves! I'm back, and back with lots to show you all! Over the past week or so, I've been doing some MAJOR shopping. If you all remember from my tweets and previous posts from last week, I picked up a gorgeous Kate Spade wallet ($100) and Michael Kors leather bracelet ($50) from TJ Maxx!

This past Saturday we went to a local mall and I ended up getting quite a few good deals! So, for the past year I have been dying for Marc Jacobs Dot perfume. It was love at first smell (I'm hilarious, I know). I finally decided to splurge on a small size and I'm so happy I did, I love it! I finally got my first Alex and Ani bangle, and it's safe to say I'm obsessed. I definitely see myself getting quite a few more in the near future! Such cute bangles that don't break your bank account! I've been going back and forth between using a Kate Spade agenda and a Lilly one. After purchasing a Kate agenda, I got cold feet and started regretting switching it up, so of course I cracked under pressure and ended up getting a Lilly one as well {Jellie's Be Jammin' in Large}. I'm a complete case whore when it comes to my phone and iPad, so I picked up new Lilly cases for both! While browsing through Dillards, I found adorable Pom-Pom shorts with an awesome price tag, only $24! I couldn't pass them up. As I was going to check out, I stumbled upon a black Michael Kors bandeau on clearance for only $20!!! I thought that was a great price, plus I've also been looking for a black top I can wear to the lake (anything else gets dirty, yay for clear blue lake water! Lol jokes). Lastly, we stopped into Target and picked up a few DVD's {Full House Season 1, The Hangover Part 3, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones}

Wednesday, we went to a nearby outlet mall that has a Saks Off 5th and Michael Kors. I was on the hunt for a new Rebecca Minkoff bag, and I succeeded! I found a 5-Zip Clutch for $219, and it was an extra 30% off, so I snagged a $295 bag for about $170! Score! My mom wanted to go to Michael Kors for a new purse for herself, I was looking around while she was busy with that and came across a gorgeous Rose Gold Chain watch for $150! Awesome price for an MK watch, so I had to snatch it up! I'm obsessed!

Lastly, on Thursday, my mom and a friend of hers went out to an outlet mall in PA. Naturally, I was super excited for this trip considering they have a J.Crew Factory Store (plus PA has NO tax on clothes!!). A North Face store recently opened there so I went and picked myself up a new book bag for only $65 ($90 originally). Next, I hit up J.Crew (my favorite part!! Yayyyy!). First thing I noticed when I walked in, they had Herringbone Vests!!! I about died! AND I got the last one in my size! I was so excited I found one considering they're backed up until November online. I also picked up two extremely comfy sweaters and a pair of leggings, which all came out to around $170 with my student ID! Not bad considering $110 of that was the vest alone. Next, I picked up a new Polo hat. They were on sale $14, so I couldn't pass that up. Lastly, I picked up a new pair of Nikes for only $35! Such good deals! To end the day, we had lunch at Primanti Brothers. If y'all live anywhere Pittsburgh, you have to check it out!!! Best turkey sandwich I have ever had.

Pictures of everything below!!! Enjoy!

What's In My School Bag

Hello my loves! I've really enjoyed doing the "What's In My Bag" series (hopefully you all enjoy it as well). With school right around the corner, what better time to do a "What's In My School Bag" post! Here is what you will be able to find in my backpack this upcoming semester:

1. The North Face Borealis Backpack: After semesters of using my Longchamp as my school bag, I decided it was finally time for a real backpack. While pricey, I know this backpack is going to last a very long time.
2. Lilly Pulitzer Highlighter/Pens: Take a look through a notebook of mine & you'll quickly learn that I'm a highlighting freak when it comes to notes. So, these cute Lilly Pulitzer pen/highlighter combo's are perfect for me!
3. iPhone: This is obviously a given!
4. Lilly Pulitzer Tech Case: Whenever I'm not using my phone, I throw in this adorable wristlet to prevent it from scratched!
5. Lilly Pulitzer iPhone charger: I can't leave the house without a backup charger. This is perfect for long, & boring days stuck on campus.
6. Tory Burch Roll-On Perfume: I always feel the need to carry around a roll-on with me. You never know when you'll need to freshen up, and Tory Burch is currently one of my favorites scents!
7. iPad: Once again, kind of a given. I prefer carrying my iPad with me over a heavy laptop.
8. Advil: It's always smart to carry aspirin around with you. Especially if you're anything like me & constantly getting headaches.
9. Lilly Pulitzer Calculator: Makes math a bit more bearable ;)
10. Rebecca Minkoff Wallet: You obviously can't leave the house without a wallet. I'm obsessed with my trusty RM wallet!
11. kate spade Agenda: I've written about this in quite a few posts already! Definitely worth the switch from my usual Lilly P agendas. Sidenote: A few days after I had written this, I cracked and bought a Lilly Pulitzer agenda. I was too torn!!! Who knows what I'll end up using now... Oops.
12. Ray-Bans: I can't go anywhere without my beloved Ray-Bans! You never know when the sun may decide to come out.

What can we find in your school bag this upcoming year?

What's In My Bag: Ralph Lauren

Hello loves! Today is part two of my "What's In My Bag" series. I have a confession to make: when it comes to carrying purses, I prefer a small cross body over a large bag. Weird, right? A few months ago while shopping in Macy's, I came across this gorgeous Ralph Lauren bag that was on sale! So naturally, I had to have it. And I've surprisingly been using it a lot more often than I expected! Unlike most girls, I don't store my bags with everything I own. I can't stand a heavy bag, so I only carry around a few necessities. Here's what you can find  in my bag:

I jumped on the eos bandwagon earlier in the year, and I am so glad I did! This stuff works like magic, I can leave the house without it. Urban Decay's Naked Basics Palette is the perfect size to throw in your bag for when you're on the go. I almost always bring it with me! My go-to mascara is Estée Lauder Sumputous Extreme. I have a few bottles of this thanks to all of those free Lilly gifts, so I always keep one in my bag!

If you follow me on twitter (@lawfullysassy - if you don't, what are you doing with your life? Go follow me now!) you probably saw my tweet about my gorgeous new kate spade Wallet (bright spot avenue in blush) I purchased the other day. It's safe to say I'm obsessed with it. I can't go anywhere without my trusty Ray-Bans.

Aside from my obvious iPhone, when I carry a large purse with me, I usually bring along my iPad with me (depending on where I'm going). With wifi nearly everywhere nowadays, you never know when it come in handy. And of course, I can't leave the house without my back-up Lilly Pulitzer charger.

What can be found in your favorite handbag?

Back to School Essentials: College Edition

Hello lovelies, Happy Hump Day!! We're halfway through the week and I could not be happier! I know you're all already thinking, isn't it a little too early to be planning back to school essentials?! Sadly, we are closing in on the end of July which leaves less than a month until school starts for me (and that also means my boyfriend will be heading back to school 12 hours away... tear.) Back to school shopping is definitely one of my favorites, and the only thing that makes me look forward to a new school year! Here a few things on my essentials list:

What are some things on your back to school list?

Mini Haul!

Hi everyone!!! Happy Thursday! For the last few months I really hit a dry spell in my shopping habits. But over the last month, it has really picked back up. It's safe to say that I might have gotten a little carried away, but I couldn't help myself!! I am so excited to show you all my finds!

haul

1. Vineyard Vines Patchwork Shorts: I found these beauties last week at... (wait for it, wait for it...) Tj Maxx!! I was completely shocked & about died of excitement when I came across the Vineyard Vines tag in the shorts rack! Especially considering that Vineyard Vines is nonexistent where I live. I came almost guarantee that I am one of the very very few around here who even knows what Vineyard Vines is. So I definitely could not pass them up, plus they were originally $88 and I got them for $30!

2. Mossimo Sandals: I've been eyeing these shoes for the last few months, however every time I would look for them in my local Target store, I could never find them. To my pleasant surprise, while looking for a pair of wedges at Target the other day, I noticed them on the clearance rack! How could I pass them up when I had been searching for them, AND for $10?! I just couldn't. Now, if only I could find the glitter ones...

3. Kate Spade Berkshire Shoulder Bag: Okay, so I bought this like a month ago but I still had to add it in this post! This is easily becoming one of my favorite bags! It's the perfect size, it's not big and bulky, but holds much more than you would think! I can fit my Rebecca Minkoff wallet, Ray-Bans, esos, and my cell phone and it doesn't stick out and look "stuffed!"

4. Kate Spade Notebook Set: I convinced myself that if I bought a cute notebook, I would actually start to begin studying for the LSAT & finally get going on my case briefs for Moot Court. Well, much to my dismay, it turns out these were MINI notebooks. I considered returning them and just getting the Gold Polka dot notebook, but I decided to keep them and use them for jotting down any important thoughts or notes & taking them with me when we begin to argue at the court house! They're the perfect size for it!

5. Lilly Pulitzer Eliza Dress: I am obsessed with this Lilly dress! It is SO comfortable (it's a t-shirt dress, so it's 100% cotton) and has such a relaxed fit! If you ever consider ordering one, definitely size down! It can easily be dressed up, or dressed down with riding boots in the fall, or a nice pair of sandals! It is also only $98, which isn't bad for a Lilly dress, and it absolutely worth every penny! I'm so excited to wear this more often!

Have you found any good deals lately? Thanks for reading!

June Favorites

HAPPY JULY EVERYONE!

July is such a bittersweet month. Most of my summer fun happens in in the month of July, but July only means one thing... Another school year is right around the corner. No one likes that. I hope you all have had a great June! What better way to kick off the start of July than sharing some of this months favorites with you all? Hope you all enjoy! XOXO.....

June Favorites

1. Peter Thomas Roth Peeling Gel
I'm not big on beauty/skin products, but I SWEAR by this stuff. It is on the more expensive side, but it works like a charm and is worth every penny. An Ulta employee recommended it to me about a month ago and it has worked so well. If you dry skin, this is a definite must.

2. J.Crew Chino Shorts
All I have to say about these babies is that they're the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. You can't go wrong with stylish and comfort. If you don't already have a pair, I highly recommend you RUN (don't walk) to your nearest J.Crew and get yourself a pair.

3. kate spade Shoulder Bag
I found this beauty at TJ Maxx the other week and fell in love. I have FOMO when it comes to TJ Maxx. The hint to finding hot brands there is to make a few trips a week. They get quite a few shipments in a week, so what they might have today, probably won't be there tomorrow!

4. Seersucker Shorts (Target)
Let's be a honest, I'm a sucker for seersucker. I've been dying for a pair of seersucker shorts for a long time now, but every pair I've came across has been quite pricey. It's hard for me to shell out $70-80 on a pair of shorts that I'm not sure how often I'll be wearing. I came across a pair at Target earlier this month for only TWENTY DOLLARS (I'm pretty sure they're also on sale right now for $12, you can't pass that up). They're super comfy and look identical to the more expensive brands!

5. kate spade Polka Dot Keds
I've posted about these quite a few times already, so I'm sure it's not a shock to anyone that these are on here! I love love love these shoes, I've worn them so many times since I've bought them (even with outfits they don't match, oops) and have gotten so many compliments! Definitely worth the money.

6. kate spade iPhone Case
So, do y'all suspect that I'm obsessed with kate spade yet? I was obsessed with the clutch & mug that had the "eat cake for breakfast" slogan on it. So, naturally, when they released the iPhone case, I HAD to have it!

7. Pretty Little Liars: Toxic
If you watch Pretty Little Liars, you definitely have to check out the book series! It doesn't follow the TV series, and in my opinion is much more thrilling. These are the only the books I can finish in just a few hours.

8. Steve Madden Sandals
It's no secret than Steve Madden is my go-to shoe brand. I got these for Christmas this past year and I was SO excited to finally get to wear them once spring came around! I usually have a rough time breaking in new shoes, but to my shock, these sandals are easily the most comfortable sandals I've ever owned. I took the risk wearing them around the mall for the first mall... no sore feet, no blisters! I was amazed.

9. Jergens Natural Glow
I swore to myself I would never ever resort to a self tanner. Buuut, unfortunately it's been a rough summer pool wise and I couldn't take being pale any longer. I've seen so many people rave about Jergens and I had to give it a try. I only started using it a few days ago, but I can already see a difference! It also has no smell which is a HUGE plus. I'd definitely recommend it.

What are some of your June favorites? Thanks for reading! xoxo

Favorite Handbags: Part 1

Rue La La says it best....

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with purses. I guess you could say that I'm a a bit of a purse hoarder. I can't get enough of them! Every one has their thing, whether it be shoes or jewelry, mine just happens to be handbags! Anytime I get a bit of extra money, 99% of the time my first purchase is a new bag. I wanted to share with you all a few of my favorites! Enjoy...

What are some of your favorite handbags?
Thanks for reading! Part two coming soon! xoxo
